7 Reasons for Using

Seedtime Seeds™ — Scripture Cards

1. You are told to meditate on God's Word, to keep the Word before you. (Josh 1:8, Pro 4:21, 1 Tim 4:15)

Scripture cards are a convenient method of keeping scriptures in front of you. They can be scriptures you are currently studying, scriptures you wish to learn, or scriptures you have learned and wish to review.

2. You are sanctified by the Word of God. (John 17:17)

The word 'sanctify' means to make holy or sacred, to purify from sin, to be made spotless or ceremonially clean. Something which is pure is free from all unnecessary matter, especially from anything that pollutes or contaminates.

God's Word cleanses, it purifies. By feeding on God's Word, you allow the Word to sanctify you, to cleanse you.

3. You are told to renew your mind. (Rom 12:2)

It is the washing of the water of the Word which cleanses you, including your mind. By meditating on the Word of God, you replace old things from the world with God's Word. As you hear negatives of the world, you can overcome the negative thoughts with the positives of God's Word. (Eph 5:26)

4. God's Word is food for your spirit. (John 6:63)

God's Word is the bread of life on which your spirit feeds. It is the food which causes your spirit to grow. As you feed God's Word into your heart in abundance, then out of that abundance you will speak. (Matt 12:34)

5. God's people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)

By meditating on God's Word, the Word becomes alive in your spirit. Then the understanding of what you have been meditating on becomes yours. For as that Word enters your spirit, it gives the light which you need for the understanding you desire. (Psalms 119:130)

6. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. (Pro 4:4-7)

The Lord gives wisdom. You are told to not let wisdom and understanding depart from your eyes, to let your heart retain God's Word. For wisdom excels folly as light excels darkness. By keeping God's Word before you, by walking in His wisdom, you avoid folly. (Pro 2:6, 3:13, 3:21; Ecc 2:13)

7. God's Word is health to all your flesh. (Pro 4:20-22)

The Word of God, when kept before you, is life to you. It is health to all your flesh. By meditating on the Word, and by doing what is written in the Word, you will make yourself prosperous, and you will have good success. (Joshua 1:8)
